airbrush booth tutorial

airbrush booth tutorial

Tired of rainbow boogies? So was I! That’s why I created this airbrush booth to spray all my cakes in. It’s big enough that even my most grand cakes can easily fit inside. I was originally inspired by an awesome booth created by Kevin Martin and I thought, dang I need one of those!

Honestly it took longer for me to get all my measurements correct than to actually build the booth. I’m not super handy so I have limited knowledge of tools and wiring but even I could pull this one off! The tutorial has tons of step by step instructions and goes over everything very clearly so soon you’ll be airbrushing up a storm, minus the color cloud.

Hello Liz, I just bought your tutorial for the airbrush booth. Can u please tell me where you bought your mount range hood, all the ones I found are kind of pricey.

Hi Liz, I was wondering how much you spent on materials for the cake booth

      Around $70

Hi Liz, just wondering if this design requires some sort of venting to the outside? Thanks!

Nope, it gets sucked into the filter. If you wanted to make it vent outside it would be a stronger suction but this works for me

        Awesome! Thanks so much :)

Hi. What kind of airbrush do you use? I’m looking to purchase one, but I’m a bit overwhelmed by the options and cost. Thank you!

Depends on what you want to do and the quality you are looking for. I have a pegasus from http://www.thesugarart.com for small things that dont require a lot of detail and an IWATA C Plus for my better stuff

        Thank you! :)

Hello, I notice you have a vent on top will this completely stop color from coming outside the box. I would have to use this on my kitchen table since my garage is 20 feet from the house and do not want to have red, blue, etc everyone in the kitchen.

    Great idea and thank you

It depends on how much you are spraying. I would say putting it in the garage is safer bet. My garage is actually downstairs but I wouldn’t even have room for this in my kitchen

        Thank you

About how much would I spend to build it?
    Thanks.

Depends on your area. I spent about $150 which is hundreds less than what a booth would cost you outright
