Foodportunity PDX

Foodportunity PDX

What a great night! Foodportunity PDX at the Heathman hotel in downtown portland was a hit! My first foodie event could not have been a better one. We got lots of great feedback from bloggers, vendors, restaurant owners and food lovers alike! Our table was poised right at the beginning of the event so the desserts went fast!

We provided our eager guests with tea infused white chocolate truffles topped with pomegranate (the favorite of the night)

Other goodies included the infamous choctopi (another great hit), lemon raspberry tartlettes and red velvet cream cheese cupcakes with an example of our delicious homemade fondant.

We also had a couple raffles going on. One for our 12 red velvet cream cheese cupcakes with custom edible sugar toppers. This was announced at the end of the night and went to Jeremy Bradford of Brothers. Nice timing too! His son’s 4th birthday just happened to be the next day.

The other winner of our sculpted cake giveaway was Nicholas Yanes of Hotel 50 bistro and bar. We had another raffle winner as well but I didn’t catch her name during the event (if you’re reading this email me!) but she did get our GC and mentioned an amazing idea she had for the cake! I really cannot wait!

I only had a moment to get out from behind the table and look around (and taste) but some favorites stood out for me. Hotel 50 had an AMAZING flavored foam with asparagus and parmesan tuille. Aviary offered some coquettes that were so delicious, I didn’t bat an eyelash when I asked for a second. Other favorites were Cafe Umbria and Bees and Beans artisan candy bars. Overall an amazing night with cherished connections made. I am very much looking forward to next year!
