This was my first published cake! Very exciting as you can imagine! This appeared in Cake Central Magazine’s 3rd issue under the section “Party Cakes”.

Cake Central – Steampunk Cake Competition – 2010

I won first place for my steampunk cake I designed especially for this challenge. The steampunk style goes very much hand in hand with Artisan Cake Company’s motto of hand-crafted and traditional methods of construction so it is very near and dear to my heart. I also got this snazzy certificate

This year was really a tough competition! I only placed 3rd this year but I wasn’t really disappointed since the other cakes were so amazing. There is always next year right?

This was my first ever competition cake. I placed 2nd for the wedding cake professional division AND won people’s choice so I was very proud.
