Remember a little while ago when Artisan Cake Company was on Outrageous Wedding Cakes along with some other amazing cake decorators like Bronwen Weber and Mike McCarey and I flipped out and thought I was in some crazy awesome dream!? NO? Ok well here is the video for you to watch! [responsive-box]

 

[/responsive-box] Thank you to my dear friend Avalon (technically her dad) for recording this and sending it to me to keep forever and ever! My 15 minutes of fame was super fantastic! Thank you also to my amazing assistant Michelle Honeman for being her awesome self during this super stressful filming process. Long days + stress + pregnancy = snappy Liz. Thank you for putting up with me! Love your face breezy! Make sure you also take a moment to admire the AMAZING work created by some of the most talented peeps I know!

I never did get any great photos of the finished cake but here are a few that I managed to snag on my phone after set-up and then some of the beautiful flowers and cake the next day.

The jelly fish are made from isomalt provided by Simi Cakes The massive amounts of shells and coral and fish where created using some fabulous molds provided by First Impression Molds The glow in the dark food coloring is some AWESOME stuff and works great with black lights.

UV Sensitive Food Coloring – Glows under Black Light!

Edible food coloring provided by Couture Cakes and Supplies 

The edible sequins where made using Kara’s Couture Cakes sequin tutorial!
