It finally happened! I attended the most amazing baby shower ever, my own! I still feel like it wasn’t real! It was the most amazing day ever and I owe it all to my friends and family who put in SO much work on every detail of the event, down to the hand calligraphy on cards and helping me make organic jam favors for guests.

Of course it all started with a beautiful invitation design by none other than my supremely talented best friend Devan Edwards of Nimbi Design. I gave her one illustration and a color scheme and she created the invitations perfectly on the first try. It’s like she reads my mind!  She also created so many other details like the welcome door and the chalkboard signs for the favor table and to welcome guests. I really wanted this shower to be FUN! No boring games just laughs, food and of course, afternoon cocktails! My awesome friend Joni from Mint + Mirth offered to serve up some custom cocktails for guests to sip on. The day was super hot so the refreshing drinks where a hit! The gorgeous goblets where provided by Something Borrowed along with some amazing nautical trunks, mason jars, a beautiful rustic table and a stunning upholstered chair that was the perfect throne to open gifts <3

  My friends and I spend many a long hour tearing strips of fabric to make the backdrops for the shower. We hung them everywhere from behind the biscuit bar, under the tents and as a backdrop for the gift opening chair. I loved how they looked and I even think my biceps might be a bit buffer after all that tearing.  

Of course the food was one of the highlights of planning! One of my favorite parts was the biscuit bar by Decadent Creations with delicious, yummy homemade fruit curds. I maybe had about 3-4… dozen. I couldn’t stop! We also made meringue stars, gluten free brownies, tosconers, and strawberry shortcake for the mermaid baby shower cake.

Thank you so much to my friends Stephanie, Kelsey, Emily and Michelle who helped prep all this pinterest worthy food!   All the gorgeous flowers where created by my favorite florist Kim from Swoon Floral Design. She always knows the perfect combination of flowers and foliage for any event. These blooms matched my theme perfectly and really brought the whole shower to life!

I was so excited to share this special day with all my loved ones! Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so memorable! I love you all!
