Fathers Day Cakes

Fathers Day Cakes

It’s my hubs first Father’s Day! I wanted to make him something fun that incorporated his favorite things, which happen to be most father’s favorite things, beer and burgers!    The main cake is a marble cake with oreos and cream filling. The ice is made from simi cakes isomalt as well as the bottles! I bought the bottle from Sugar Delites and it worked perfectly! Full tutorial coming to my youtube channel soon! I made the labels on my computer (yay graphic design degree coming in handy).   The burger cake was SO fun to make! I made a pdf tutorial that you can purchase from my online store if you want to learn how to make one of your own! I LOVE making food cakes! I spent all day making cute little tomatoes, pickles, cheese, everything! It was waayyyy too much fun!     My assistant Michelle made an awesome Father’s Day cake for her Dad! He LOVES to BBQ so she wanted to make him the most epic BBQ cake ever! She spent all day meticulously making tiny little BBQ foods out of fondant. SO adorable! she even made a little corn on the from a mini pearl mold! So genius! I love the little hamburger patties made from rice crispy treats! Add some torched fondant cheese and it’s just perfection! The best part of the whole cake really is the special effects! Some LED lights, gelatin flames and dry ice make for a SUPER realistic BBQ cake! I just love it! Check out the video of the BBQ Grill cake that Michelle made!
