My sisters best friend Jenna had her baby shower and it was a lot of fun. Her mom threw the shower in the music room at the school she teaches at and it worked really well considering there were about 30 people there. I haven’t been to a lot of baby showers (except for the one I threw a few weeks ago for my sister) and I must say, they are pretty fun. I had a great time chatting with friends and playing baby-o bingo. I even won me some jelly beans. Mmmmmmm.

Jenna wanted her cake to match her baby shower invitations as far as the animals go but wanted the cake to be more jungle-esque. (yes I just made that word up). This is what her invites looked like:

And this is the cake I designed for the shower:

I airbrushed the cake instead of coloring the fondant so that it had a gradient from blue to green and then finished it off with a little silver to give it a bit of shine (can’t really tell in this photo I know).

I know on other friend that is having a baby this year so I hope I get to do more of these fun shower cakes
